Born Lippy - Stick Lip Balm a.k.a. Best Lip Balm for Summer

Hey guys!

Like many humans on this planet, I have chapped lips. Not only during winter, but also during summer, spring and autumn. Who am I kidding? I can have chapped lips any time…

I needed a new lip balm a few months ago so I went to The Body Shop to get one of their lip balms in that little pot-thingy-majig. But then I started thinking about how I would have to put my fingers in it… ok I did not mean for that to sound dirty. Oops

I saw this Born Lippy – Stick Lip Balm in Pomegranate (4.50 euros) and fell in love with the packaging. Yes, I’ll admit that the packaging caught my eye and was the reason I bought it. hehe

So what are my thoughts about it?

(Hopefully no insects got into the tube... If so, oh well, it's only protein right? #cryingontheinside)

(You can barely notice I'm wearing a tinted lipbalm)

(Why do I look so sleepy? I'm so photogenic - Obviously I'm being sarcastic)

(Damn it smells so freaking good...)

(Yes, sometimes I think about eating it but then... hmm better not)

(a low quality swatch for you guys... sorry)

Pros
Cons
  • Freaking adorable packaging
  • Product gets used wayy too fast (due to it’s oils)
  • Super hydrating
  • I tend to look like a druggy with fresh drugs whenever I smell it, which is every time I wear it… should this be in the Pros section?
  • Has enough pigment to it a.k.a. not tooo much pigment (remember it’s still a lip balm)

  • Leaves a teeny nice tint on the lips

  • Long-lasting. Stays for about 5h

  • Pretty sturdy packaging (I’ve dropped it like a gazillion times and IT LIVESSS!)

  • Has a beautiful pomegranate smell to it… oh god it smells soo good!

  • It’s not sticky at all!

What is your favourite lip balm?

Hope you guys enjoyed this post!

  6. I have chapped lips all the time too! I've been using the Baby lips from Maybelline for the longest time but this one looks interesting. Worth a try. :)

    1. I tried two of the baby lips and wasn't that impressed to be honest. One was very waxy and the other one was too oily and seemed to not hydrate one bit to be honest :/
Yes you need to try this one out! ;) hehe
