Born Lippy - Stick Lip Balm a.k.a. Best Lip Balm for Summer

Image
Hey guys! Like many humans on this planet, I have chapped lips. Not only during winter, but also during summer, spring and autumn. Who am I kidding? I can have chapped lips any time… I needed a new lip balm a few months ago so I went to The Body Shop to get one of their lip balms in that little pot-thingy-majig. But then I started thinking about how I would have to put my fingers in it… ok I did not mean for that to sound dirty. Oops I saw this Born Lippy – Stick Lip Balm in Pomegranate ( 4.50 euros ) and fell in love with the packaging. Yes, I’ll admit that the packaging caught my eye and was the reason I bought it. hehe So what are my thoughts about it?

Easiest 'Non-Panda-Like' Smokey Eye

Hey guys! It's finally that time of the year... Clubbing season ! Haha  Here in Vilamoura, there are a gazillion different clubs (eg: Seven, Bliss, Buddah etc) that open especially for summer! I always have the best time, dancing and just having fun with friends! :) But honestly, one of my favorite parts about clubbing is the 'getting ready' part! Choosing the outfit, doing the makeup etc. Anyone with me? (Believe it or not... This is me tanned... Lol)

The Swamp thing! A.k.a. Yours Truly with a Face Mask

Image
Hey guys! A couple of weeks ago, I bought this face mask and I've been dying to try it out.  Well, yesterday I felt like it was  The day  (plus, my skin was having a rough week for some reason). This was the first face mask I've ever tried (I tried making a yoghurt and strawberry mask once... Let's just say I couldn't stop laughing cause it went terribly wrong!). This is  The Body Shop Seaweed Ionic Clay Mask - 1.50€.  There was also the same mask in a jar form, and I think it was around 20€, but I wanted to try it before buying the jar.  I wanted a face mask that would clean my skin and if possible, mattify my skin. This one did exactly that!! :) I was super impressed with the application and results!! I would recommend it to everyone!  Here is my personal thoughts about it and  BEWARE ... Some no makeup and  Swamp monster-like  selfies!!

A Better Bronzer than The Too Faced Chocolate Soleil Bronzer!

Image
Hey guys!! I've been dyingg to write this post for you!! This product has been my go to for the past month!! :) What am I talking about you ask (or maybe not...)? The Body Shop Bronzing Powder in 05 Dark golden matte - 15euros. Before this, I had been using the Too Faced Chocolate Soleil Bronzer, but because it was my birthday month, I could purchase anything from The Body Shop as I had a 10euro voucher!! Don't get me wrong, I still use the Too Faced Bronzer but I think I might prefer The Body Shop one... Ekkkk Ps: Pros and Cons down below

#FAIL - The Body Shop Lightening Touch

Image
Hey guys! I bought this product a while ago but I wanted to test it out a bit before writing a post. Well... I HATE it! I've worn this  The Body Shop  -  Lightening Touch in 01  - €15 (initially) and I got it for  €11.24  for a week now and all I can say is, it's not worth the money!!! :( Years ago, I bought the same product but a more pinky shade and loved it!!! I love sooo many The Body Shop products but this one... Oh man... I bought it, hoping it would be a dupe for that MAC orange dark circles concealer, so hoping it would cancel out my dark circles, with it's orange pigment. It doesn't!! I have a pro and con list below.

Sick Makeup a.k.a. Makeup for Sick days

Hey guys! A couple of days ago, I started having a soar throat and now I feel even worst... :(

How to treat back-acne (sounds grosser than it actually is!)

Image
Hey guys! I don't know about you, but during winter, I start having these small pimples on my back . When I first saw it, I thought it was an allergic reaction of some sort. But it's not. During winter, we are more bundled up, which causes an accumulation of heat on our backs and there is not enough air for our backs to 'breathe' , so it forms these temporary small pimples. It can also be caused by shampoo or conditioner that wasn't all washed off !! I find it has the same reaction to when I wore a fringe/bangs and it was hot out! Nothing some sun can't fix!! But in the meantime, there's a faster solution!! A Body Scrub!! I'm not going to say which is best because it depends on how sensitive your skin is and how you prefer the beads to be... My personal favourite is the Sephora Smoothing Body Scrub in Orange Blossom - €3.

Women's Day Haul

Image
Hey guys! :) Yesterday I went to the movies with one of my best friends and we made sure we did a little shopping since there were a tonne of discounts (because of women's day). I didn't buy any clothing cause honestly I didn't really like anything...  Personally I don't really pay attention to women's day cause to me, women's day is every day. "All day, err' day" is that what the kids are saying these days? lol  But can I say no to shopping? No. No I can't. No I won't.  Well, I went to Sephora, where they were having a 20% discount (woopwoop!) and bought the Too Faced Melted Lipstick in Fig - €20.90 (initially) but I got it for €16.72 !! I also bought bought Sephoras smoothing body scrub in Orange Blossom for €3 . It smells great!  Kiko was also having a 20% discount (I couldn't help myself) so I bought their Ultimate Pen long wear eyeliner in 05 Teal - €6.90 (initially) but I got it for €5.52 ! *sigh* We then went to The Body Shop ...

Random Favorite - Body Butter in Cranberry Joy by The Body Shop

Image
My weekly favorite has been the Body Butter in Cranberry Joy by The Body shop. This is part of their holiday collection 2014 so it might be limited edition... Sorry... Xp I love the Body Shop's Body butters but I rarely find one that I can actually use because, if you know their body butters, you know that they have a really strong smell!! And I'm really sensitive to smells, so I don't like having to smell a really perfumed body butter. But this one... OH MY!! It smells like... Christmas!! Is that weird? There's just something in it that smells like Christmas... So it has been perfect during these past colder months!  Stay dorky and weird. :) Xoxo Jessy 💗

Random Favorite - Tea Tree Oil

Image
My random favorite for this week has been my Tea Tree Oil by The Body Shop - €6 Every week, I'll post my favorite item of the week. This can be anything really (makeup, accessory, music, tv show etc). It's a mini review basically. :) I bought this pot thingy about 9 months ago and it has only reached half!! Whaaaat?! The way I describe this product is 'a natural disinfectant'. The way I use this product is, -I put the product on a cotton swab and place it on top of a pimple or wound. I have even replaced Betadine for this oil and so far so good! Honestly, at €6 I honestly thought it was too expensive. But apparently not! Because you only use 1 to 2 drops at a time. So it'll last you ages! I'm here talking about an 'oil' and my combination skinned girls are probably freaking out. Don't worry! I have a combination skin and so putting oils on my face is something I don't see myself doing in the near future lol. Don't want to b...
