Can't Go Wrong Smokey Eye

Image
Hey guys! So, as I said on my previous post, my summer days are always on the run. It’s that time of year where I’m super free, but I somehow manage to being late to everything… oops haha Therefor, I thought I’d share the fastest Summer-night Makeup!! To be honest, after a long day at the beach, when I start getting ready to go out, I sometimes don’t have the patience to do this huge elaborate makeup... But I still wanna look put together you know? The stars of this look are a SPARKLY eyeshadow (who doesn't need some sparkle in their lives?) and BIG LASHES ! It’s smokey and effortless without having actually put a lot of effort into it hahaha Here's a tutorial on this look :)

Beach Day in Foreign Lands

Image
Hey guys! Summer seems to be giving it's last couple of breaths (Wow that was poetic) and it's as if everyone is making the most of these last days of summer. Including me!! So I thought I'd share with you my favorite beach ever and definitely a place to visit. :) Whenever I go to the beach with my family, we normally go to Spain. You're probably really confused right now... "Wtf? She lives in Portugal but goes to Spain for the beach?" Yes dear readers, yes I do. From where I live, Ayamonte (where the beach is located) is a mere 40 minutes on the highway ! Which is also the time it takes for us to get to another beach we love during the busy months.  During July and August, the beaches in Portugal get sooo busy (and when I say busy I mean, 'we have less than 1m between us and these random people next to us')! Therefor, Isla Canela is the perfect beach to hide from all the tourists (not that I hate tourists btw...just throwing that o...

Pastel de Nata a.k.a. a Little Bit of Portuguese Heaven

Image
Hey guys! I went to the supermarket yesterday and my dad decided to buy 6 Pasteis de Nata (yes, 6... My dad has a sweet-tooth). You're probably thinking "what in the world is that?". Well *whoever is reading this*, a Pastel de Nata is a traditional Portuguese pastry made with eggs, milk, flour... Well, there are a tonne of different recipes online, incase you wanna try them out. Some people like the Pasteis de Nata to be slightly warm and with a touch of cinnamon and powdered sugar... I'm fine with whatever really... haha Honestly, I've never made one, just cause here in Portugal, wherever you go and at whatever time, you will find Pasteis de Nata. I'm too lazy to make them when I see a GAZILLION every single day! Haha xp Plus, they're quite cheap too!! (It depends on place to place but the average is 0.25 euros ) Here are some reasons why they are so GREAT...  The outside is soo crispy and flaky ! The inside is soo soft and creamy !...

Pancake Me

Image
Hey guys!  Here's something you might not know about me: I LOVE pancakes! I love them so so much that I prefer to have them for lunch or dinner cause I eat a gazillion of them! Lol My parents had a stressful day today so I thought I'd make them dinner (also, my dad has been begging me to make him pancakes for weeks now...) Ps : if you want to know how to make these pancakes, check it out below!

Summer Lashes Had Me a Blast

Image
Hey guys! Did anyone get the Grease reference in the title? :p I don't know about you, but I find it really difficult finding a mascara that  truly is waterproof !! I've tried several "Waterproof" mascaras and let me tell you, whoever had the brilliant idea of writing "waterproof" on the packaging should probably go find another job!! Haha :p Every "waterproof" mascara I've tried to this day have left me looking like a panda (no offense to pandas. It's just not the look I'm going for) or glueing my eyes shut (and I mean SHUT)... I tried this  Essence get big Lashes in the waterproof version - €2.5   and at first, I though it would smudge all over cause it leaves so much product on the lashes... I was wrong!  This is the BEST WATERPROOF MASCARA I've tried!! It's not perfect (I haven't found one yet) but it's pretty close! (As per usual, I have a list of Pros and Cons below) Ps: I went underwater ...

The Swamp thing! A.k.a. Yours Truly with a Face Mask

Image
Hey guys! A couple of weeks ago, I bought this face mask and I've been dying to try it out.  Well, yesterday I felt like it was  The day  (plus, my skin was having a rough week for some reason). This was the first face mask I've ever tried (I tried making a yoghurt and strawberry mask once... Let's just say I couldn't stop laughing cause it went terribly wrong!). This is  The Body Shop Seaweed Ionic Clay Mask - 1.50€.  There was also the same mask in a jar form, and I think it was around 20€, but I wanted to try it before buying the jar.  I wanted a face mask that would clean my skin and if possible, mattify my skin. This one did exactly that!! :) I was super impressed with the application and results!! I would recommend it to everyone!  Here is my personal thoughts about it and  BEWARE ... Some no makeup and  Swamp monster-like  selfies!!

Just another day #1

Image
Hey guys!! When I have an unordinary day, I'll post some pics of that day... Makes sense? Maybe not. Lol you'll get it. I think. Hahaha Anyways... I went to Faro and Olhão with my parents. It was a fun day looking at crazy seaguls and amazing graffiti!! Hope you like the photos :) (That Smart car is really cute!) (Here's the Artists' contact incase you're interested!) Stay dorky and weird! Xoxo Jessy ♥

A Beautiful Flower. A Beautiful Tale.

Image
Hey guys! Today I felt inspired to write a post about the almond trees . You're probably confused. Let me explain... Ps: here are some pictures of almond trees and also some goofy pictures of myself with the trees... I just couldn't help myself... Hehehe Where I live, (southern Portugal in the region of the Algarve) around January/February, Almond trees start to bloom. When fully bloomed, these almond trees seem to be covered in snow! It doesn't snow in the Algarve so it's is truly wonderful to watch. For centuries, this tree has been a landmark or southern Portugal, and a reason for visit of many tourists.  If you ever have the opportunity so witness this, you will truly understand the beauty and somewhat magical effect these flowers create. But honestly, the truly magical part about these trees is the story or myth behind these trees. When I was young and heading to school with my mum, she would always tell me the story about the young king and princess (Like all myt...
