Quarantine... what else can i do? #5

Image
Hey guys! Sick of TV? Ahhhh what a terrible and unfathomable phrase that was! * whispering * I'm sorry TV, I'll never say it again. Well in case you're um... tired of doing nothing (not saying that watching TV is nothing don't get me wrong...), here are some hobbies I've come to acquire... acquire? Acquire. 1.  Exercise - This is the first thing I do after eating breakfast! Trust me when I say I'm not the fittest person in my neighborhood , building , apartment (And I'm the only person in it...), but lately I find that exercising, gives me soo much energy for the rest of the day. And I feel amazing after it. I mean, I am practically in a coma after working out but after returning from the dead, I feel great! What exercises do I do? Well, being a work-out connoisseur , I just type "workouts at home" on Youtube and tadaaaa!! I've been following this one lately.  https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DfIt58Ed5VU 2.  Learning a New Langu...

Quarantine... fucking anxiety #4

Image
Hey guys. Today, I woke up in a good mood (as good as you can get). Woke up, had breakfast, did a little work-out (little = I don't think I had sweat that much in years and after that, spent 30 minutes lying on the floor, unable to move a single muscle and breathing so heavily I was afraid my neighbors would knock on my door asking if everything was ok. It was great.), had a quick shower... yes, quick because I had not fully recovered and needed to lie down FAST. Then, lunch, a little german online class and chilled. Everything was fine. But then the news of a possible emergency state on Wednesday... why did my mood change? Well, I'm alone in Lisbon because I can't reach my parents (in the Algarve) because I could be infected and since they are in the risk group (due to their age + other diseases), well, I'm stuck here. I mean, I could go and stay with my sisters' family but would I feel comfortable there? With her family? It's complicate...

Birthday post! Feeling 23-eeee

Image
So guys, it was my birthday yesterday and thought I'd share my day with you. It's exam week so I wasn't really planning on doing anything special tbh, buuut I have the most amazing friends and family that made my day super duper special. I started the day opening a package that my parents had sent me a few days before, especially for my birthday... it was full of sweets and goodies and two birthday cards, one from mum and another from dad. Need I say that a few tears may have shed? haha Then, I spent the morning studying for this exam I had in the afternoon and then actually made it to the exam. It wasn't a complete disaster so my mood was pretty up there. Everyone in my class was super sweet and my girlfriends even surprised me with a bad full of goodies and THE CUTEST CARD EVER!! I then went to meet with some of the boys and had some pancakes. Peanut butter and hot chocolate toppings with banana. Don't get me wrong, it was delicious but half way through, i...

The Most Delicious Pancakes in Lisbon. Zenith.

Image
Last week I went to my favorite pancake spot in Lisbon, Zenith Brunch & Cocktail.  I’ve only gone twice, but I can’t shut up about it for weeks after I stuff my face in their Oreo pancakes... I know. I know. Since I always annoy my friends about it, thought I’d annoy you!! If you aren’t already sold on the photo, ARE YOU OK? You should get that checked out.  Pancakes with homemade Oreo ice-cream, a banana custard (sounds weird but tastes deliciouslyyyy delicious), with crushed Oreos and fresh strawberries. *mic drop* I’ve been to a lot of pancake-selling-places in Lisbon (the real goal is to go to them all...), and Zenith has the best on-and-all experience for sure!     ♥  Delicious AF pancakes. Just scroll up and drool on the photo.     ♥  You don’t leave hungry!! Trust me on this!!    ♥  Everyone is super nice and smiley... yes, because grumpy staff always leaves me in a bad mood, ...

#3 Thought of the day - WORST DATE IN THE HISTORY OF DATES

Today I went on a date.... What a date that was... We met during Carnival, 2 weeks ago. He seemed nice so we exchanged instagrams (oh these millennials) and kept speaking for the next two weeks. After 2 weeks of speaking on a daily level, I Metro-ed my way to the mall to meet up with him. We watched a movie that was ay-ok, nothing special to be honest. He was really tall and handsome, and he definitely knew that... too much! Then, the real part of the date began... Ready? The mall we went to, was nearby the river here in Lisbon so the area is full of benches, trees and definitely perfect for a simple walk. That we did *insert yoda's voice here* Well, to reach the outdoor area, we were forced to go though the entire mall. From the moment we left the movies, I noticed the guy was checking himself out on the reflection of every single front display of all stores. And I mean, every single one. And he occasionally stopped to fix his hair. After the 4th stop, I called him ...

CARNIVAL 2019

Image
Carnival is quite a big holiday here in Portugal. I think it might have the same importance as Halloween, but it just lasts longer. While Halloween lasts only for one day, Carnival lasts for four days. Yes, FOUR DAYS! People celebrate though out the country, with the most creative outfits, and children take their carnival celebrations to their schools, their school bags filled with silly strings and confetti. Personally, I LOVE dressing up!! Absolutely love it. Being silly, having fun... My first outfit choice this year was a chick onesie buuuut because we were heading to a club, I thought maybe a portable sauna wasn't a good idea. Nothing to wear as a costume? Just stuff your face with glitter and hope for the best... My gorgeous friends and I. Lust in rio - Lisbon. Carnaval de Torres Vedras. Obviously, the day after a night out called for...  Do you celebrate carnival where you live? Xoxo <3

I'm Single, So What?

Image
Hey guys! Today, I thought I’d share with you a different type of post, not a beauty nor fashion post, but a more personal one. This year has definitely been the best year of my life, but I still had some tough moments for sure. Being in a new city with new people and far from your family made me anxious and alone at times. Honestly, I’ve never been that girl that NEEDED a boyfriend. I’m more into letting destiny taking its course. All my girlfriends had boyfriends and I was one of the few single ones… This never really bothered me. I always felt like I didn’t have to settle with someone just in the sakes of having a boyfriend. Not my scene. But a few months before summer I sometimes felt a little left out… Is that strange? Don’t get me wrong, I’m super happy for my friends and their relationships, but I sometimes wished I had someone too.

Quicky about my life #4

Hey guys!! I know it's been soo long since my last post... So so sorry! Now that I'm kind of free from uni I can make it up to you don't worry ;) Ok, where to start? Well, for the month of December, I was having tests every other day but surprisingly, it wasn't too tiring! Probably because I feel that I'm having the best time of my life ! All my life, people told me that my high school years or my uni years would be some of the best... High school was horrible to be honest (something for another post). But now I totally get what people told me! I can honestly say this is the happiest I have ever been in my life! I feel like everything is falling into place, including me! Haha It's great when you're working to achieve your goals in life and feel like your stepping in the right direction!  (My friends and I took a Selfie-break from studying... That's a thing right? It is now! haha)

Quicky about my life #3 (photo version)

Hey guys! So, this Sunday was my adorable 3 year old nephew's birthday and my sister asked me to help her out with organizing the party. Obviously I said "of course! Duhh" and my dad tagged along! We were in Cascais (a cosmopolitan suburb of Lisbon) for the weekend plus a few more days to show my dad my university in Lisbon, deal with some uni "stuff" and also to see (for the first time) the apartment I'm living in also in Lisbon(It was beautiful btw).  We had lots of fun... So here are some photos I took with my phone and wanted to share with you guys!! :)   ( Passing the bridge "25 de Abril" in Lisbon)
